'69S clutch compatible with '67S/68S flywheel?

If I understand correctly, all '69 models including the "S" had a cast steel flywheel, whereas the '67S/'68S flywheel was forged steel (probably copper faced), so I'm wondering whether the '69S clutch (aluminium pressure plate & thin clutch disc) can be used together with the forged steel '67S/68S flywheel?

If so, is it recommended to remove the copper coating from the flywheel?

    Good question!
I picked up a 69s clutch at a swap meet and understand you can no longer get the original clutch for a 67s.
If the 69s clutch does not work, what are our options?
