    Drivers side Mirror hole location

My 1971 had aftermarket mirrors that were installed and corresponding holes drilled that were not correct. When we stripped and painted the body all the holes these were welded up. Does anyone have the exact location of the holes for the drivers door? I know they are obviously close to the two inside holes. Below is what I found for a passenger door option, but I don't believe the holes are in the same location?

Here are the holes for the driver's side view mirror on an original door. Email me and we can figure out which measurements you need.

    Just before I drill......Three questions...

    1) When installed, is the mirror horizontally level ? See first photo. Are the two red lines equal in length? If so, there would be a slight slant to the holes as the upper door edge slopes down. Or Do I drill such that holes are level?
    2) Are there two or three holes? One post I read said there is a mirror adjustment hole in addition to the two bolt holes
    3) Two different pictures below show the slotted bolt in two different locations? Is one more correct than the other?
