Early911SRegistry/RGruppe Coffee and Doughnutfest Aug 7

Great turnout today including some esteemed members from SoCal. I’ve decided to post some pictures of the party crashers. Some interesting stuff. Yes, there were plenty in of Early 911s, too.

Nice party crashers. That double-cab looks tough as nails, Jim... long studs and a set of military rubber transforms it from a meek parts hauler to somethin' else.

What's powering it? The Abarth exhaust hints at something other than a standard Type 1.

    Hi Russ

It's powered by a period correct 356 motor. Has 356A brakes, a 356B steering wheel (no small feat, BTW) a Speedster drivers seat and the stock 3/4 passenger seat in matching upholstery. Oatmeal, square weave carpet and so many other details. It is owned by one of our EarlyS members and he may want to add other details. It's a stunning build, as are all of Joey's cars.

    Regards

    Jim

    Jim,

I liked the VW as best of show in the other class.

Say no more, Jim... it's another JB Quick build! We need more pics from him on this one.

EDIT: Found the old post on the double cab the VW thread, he's done a lot more since then so hope a nudge will get him to update.
