    Right upholstery SWB dashboard

    Hi all, struggling with my dashboard.
    Long time ago it has been re-upholstered in leather but somehow not as it should be in my opinion.

    The pressing of the metal is clearly showing through the leather.
    Should there be some foam or such underneath?

    Here as it is now;

    Semjon, I have the correct padding as I just redid my dash myself. As Franz points out your speaker perforation is way off. Happy to send you some of the padding as I am in NL also.

    Semjon, there is a individual in los Vegas who is doing a stellar 1967 911 restoration. Mike posts on YouTube. He has a series of videos focusing on the dash, go take a look.

    I have correct vinyl material with correct speaker holes if needed. You'll also need a piece of tightly woven, thin black material that goes under speaker holes, on top of padding unless padding is already black. Also, be advised, recovering is not an easy job!

    Hi John, sounds good. Do you have some more info on costs for both the vinyl as the tightly woven material?

    I'll look tomorrow. I think I have two, 2-piece sets for SWB. PM me with your email address and I'll send photos
