Stolen Porsche 917 motors, a saga 10 years in the making.

Many people have asked me to tell this story over the years - I finally put it up in a YouTube video. Check it out here:

Let me know what you think!

Reminds me of the great movie No Mans Land. They're more stolen Porsche's and parts in California than anywhere in the world. I've been hearing the stories since I was kid in the 70's. Heck of a story Wayne!I know your RSR well. I lived right down the road from Eade in Cardiff By The Sea.

Thanks for the kind words. If you could think of other places where the link to the video could be placed, we're trying to build some momentum with this particular story...

    Thx,

    Thank you for the videos…
life just tells the best stories…
Are any of the engines, that had been auctioned off, in actual use?
Except the one you had been rewarded, of course….

I'm actually not sure if they are in use. Presumably, all the 917s that I know of probably have engines. So, you'd use one as a spare if an original engine needed rebuilding, or if you were building / putting back together a car. But I don't think that happens too often...

Awesome story! Thanks for putting it out there... Would be cool to see a written piece with the best images in Esses.
    Cheers,
