While you have everything accessible you may want to find some matching touch up paint and paint the three bolts / exposed portion of the washers, that attach the hood hinge to the car body, body color.

Yes -- my engine compartment harness on the lid hinge has the same clips as my front hood. And one of my original clips does have the number "2" on it. Just more information, not claiming I know what is supposed to be on your car, or if the ones I suggested are authentic enough for your build. Love the color you have !

Thanks Nick - I do have some paint an can easily correct these
I didn't know that hood hinge bolts on a 1970 were painted body color. Please, what year did these bolts start being body color?

I should have a few of the original wire clips. PM with your email me to follow up.

Torch, and Nickb4,
Checking the link you provided, no where does it state the bolts and washers are painted body color. Instead it suggests the interior of the trunks differed between black and body color. Because the hinge bolts are applied after the hinges are mounted, it would seem unwieldly for the assemblers to go back to each car after trunk and engine lids have been applied and then paint the bolts and washers to the body color of each particular car. In addition, I have never seen (among many) 1970 cars the lid hinge bolts painted. Should Nickb4 rescind his advice to our new member, Valhalla, or am I misled?
My original 70S has a fair amount of paint on the hinge bolts as the hinges were installed when car was painted. The trunk lid was painted off the car so those bolts are not painted. The yellow car pictured has much nicer paint on hinges and under dash than my orange car has.
I have no opinion on the bolt paint. I found the link informative about how sometime between 70 and 71 the trunks ceased to be overpainted black and remained body color.
PS the link i sent has a link to the 700 mile 1970S that shows the clips.

Let me say I really appreciate all of the feedback!
This is my first 50 year old Porsche and I am learning how different it is sorting things on the 911S vs. my 993 or newer cars. You guys and gals have a wealth of knowledge and I do appreciate the time you take to help a newbie.
Tom - thank you. I already put in an order for some clips yesterday but very nice of you to offer!
Torch - the photos of the 700 mi 911S are very helpful. There is one that helps me see what the mystery hole in front of the smugglers box should look like. Mine is open and will need to try and figure out what that plug is.
