    68 Front Hub - Polished?

I was cleaning up my front hubs this morning. I degreased and media blasted. There is some blistering in the lug sockets and cleaned up as best I could.

Are the hubs to be polished (wire wheel) or left matte finish due to media blasting? How did they come from the factory? Thanks

They came as forged , neither polished nor matte , vapor blasting would be the most authentic look now . Or blasting with new larger size glass beads at around 35 psi .

We clean them up and ceramic tumble for final step. We did remove wheel studs.

I think they were forged, hence the satin finish.

Thank you, I will go with a low pressure media blast. I am not doing a Concours build, but I'd like to keep it as close to original with what I can do.

Did not think about pressing out the studs.. Probably should do that and apply Black Chromate to the studs.
