    WTB: g50 g body coupe

    Hi,
I’m looking for a really good to great condition 87-89 g body coupe. Not guards red, not black or silver. Would prefer a rarer color, but open to white for the right car. Please drop me a line if you are selling one, or know of one.
    Thank you,
    David

Watch BaT and Pcarmarket if you aren’t already.

    I am thank you!

That said: I really really really dislike buying cars at auction for a lot of reasons so I try to avoid it.

I understand your apprehension BUT there a several members here that have gotten some very good deals on those sites. Also have friends that have hit the lottery on selling on BaT. Personally, I haven’t had any luck with BaT however I have sold a few cars through Pcar. Also, Paul at Autokennel also finds some excellent examples. GLW your search. Hunting is more fun than the kill.....

Paul is great! My issue with auctions is doing proper diligence and inspections.

I sold a race car on BAT that had been sitting for ten years. In the description it said “this car has been sitting for 10 years.” The guy that bought it complained when he got it that the tires and safety gear were out of date!

As a seller who’d tried to be honest in his listing, it was frustrating. But if he’d had the car inspected it would have been a benefit to both parties.

I’m not saying “never” because if i do that I’ll buy something this week. But I’m reluctant to say the least.

    Cheers!

Let me know if you decide to move on something there...I have an excellent early 911 contact at the Porsche dealership just down the road if you want an independent PPI.

    Very much appreciated.

Wound up finding a local car that is a great fit for me.
