What range PSI is best for 1mm sheetmetal?
I'll pick up a roll of 0.6mm wire when I can

I don't have my machine here would need to look at it / test it, the other half of the PSI equation is Flow, both balanced will keep it clean and shielded, too much gas is better than not enough, you will have shielding but run thru more gas. Same with pre & Post flow adjustments on the machine.
    Keep up the good work!

I run 25psi. Never a problem. If clean, turn it down to 20 to see if its the same - if it bubbles, go back to 25.

Hallo George, one advice. Hey to find 0,9 mm metal. Easier to weld, easier to combined with the 0,8 mm Metall and easier to form.

Hallo, it is me again. I noticed that my former reply was a little bit chaotic. I had a super text but as I wanted to send it it did not work. Afterwards I was too fast that I did not see that the auto correcture changed some words and their meaning.
So once again. What I wanted to say is, that using a 0,88 -0,9 mm sheetmetal will help you to get acceptable results. I do not know if it is available in Switzerland, here in Germany I found one supplier. The advantage of this thickness is, that it is easier to form and the difference to the serial 0,8 mm metal is acceptable. Weld always in direction to the 0,9 mm material. I use a 0,8 mm welding wire in combination with 8 liter gas. The other points you have to take of are almost mentioned by the former authors. I hope I could help a little bit

Every bit of info/advice is welcome, so thank you.
No welding last week, but the last effort went rather well.
Skiing analogy again: Basics are all in this thread, remains practice, tons of it.
