So around rolls this years Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs as 3 point underdogs. The Chiefs, with magician Mahomes? Against Tampa Bay who were 7-5 at one time this year with an obviously aging and fading Brady? Free money. I have to get a bet down on this one. I don't have a bookie so I checked Oregon Sports Betting and there it was. Online betting using a credit card. I don't think that even bookies take credit cards.

It has to be a parlay if you're betting on football with the State of Oregon. Pick the team, in this case the Chiefs were +3.5, and pick the Over/Under, in this case 56. It was all so obvious. The Chiefs with Mahomes get 3.5 and the Over looks good with Mahomes plus the GOAT. So $100.00 on the Chiefs/Over parlay which pays $335.00. I started planning on what I would do with that bit of extra money.

Well... So it turns out exactly the opposite - Bucs/Under. I told you I'm always wrong. But, it turns out that I had checked the wrong box when I placed the bet, choosing the opposite of what I intended. It was either one of my all too frequent senior moments or some part of my brain knows me better than I know myself and took over.

There is one downside to this strategy though. The gloating is a little hard on my wife. But she'll get used to it when the Lakers beat the spread against the Thunder tonight (done deal)...
    John,
Regarding solving a problem; one of the top Silicon Valley technologists once told me “work some more on that problem you’re trying to solve and if that doesn’t work then do the opposite.”
