    Fs: @bhcc - 1965 911

This 1965 Porsche 911 featured here with matching numbers (Certificate of Authenticity included) is available in its factory color combination of Dolphin Grey and a green leatherette interior with Pepita cloth inlays (front seats). It comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, 2.0-liter engine, dual Solex carburetors, and solid wheels. An extremely exciting early 911 that has been sitting for many years waiting to be restored. For $108,500

I love the color combination of dolphin grey and green leatherette w/ pepita cloth inserts but the only thing holding that car together is good intentions. Not to mention the image looks to be taken from an old family movie. Whomever takes this on is bold indeed.

Actually the lousy image is a screen shot of my laptop taken by my iPhone. Better quality pictures available on link I provided (to the right of photo).

I was offered this car a few weeks back at $80k (and probably could have bought it cheaper). Tempting for the colors but a money pit for sure. I just don't think current '65 values can support this level of restoration (of course, that isn't stopping me from doing 2 of them right now )

What's that VIN plate? Am I missing something? Neither of my '65 cars have that.

That's where mine was... I thought that was where they all were for a certain series.

Then likely you either don't have a 1965 (model year or calendar year), or the car was incorrectly restored. The combination of VIN tag next to the VIN stamp should be there up to about 303300.
    Thus one is 301926

I own 301100 and 301331. I'll have to check when I'm at my shop later this week. 301100 is a very original, 2-owner car so I probably just didn't notice the plate. 301331 is a barn (field) find and the plate probably disappeared at some point along the way (like a lot of the car).
