factory air conditioning version air filter unit snorkle?

I'll put one picture here but I have it on Ebay with multiple pictures, snorkle definately points to the left not right I know they did this when they had an air conditioner condensor in the way and most I have seen were crudely welded by dealers when they added air, this one is spot welded and looks factory. Asking opinions, do you think I'm right about this? Name: PXL_20210212_191137825.jpg

Other interesting thing to me is this one does not have the side protrusions like later snorkles but it does have the two mounting tabs on the base like later ones, in other words to me this looks like an early weber snorkel (1966 era) in a later base, again I dont see welds only spot welds.

Can anyone point me to a thread where the different snorkel styles are discussed?

Here is a link to Ebay for more pics, if you want to buy it and dont want to use Ebay feel free to get in touch, Primary reason for posting is to learn more and see what others think of this part....opinions please. https://www.ebay.com/itm/373458300443

yes so do I, it is curious to me that it seems to have an earlier snout and a later base with the mounting tabs
