Parking Brake Cable Assembly - 71S

    Hi,

Just want to make sure I have installed the metal tube and cable correctly into the rear parking brake? Does this look correct? Also, some pictures of the front brake as well - before and after......Thanks

Show me the other end of the cable, got both the washers in place, are both expanders within the brake shoe tabs?

Looks correct , Im more concerned about the trailing arm spring plate hardware . Why is the grade 10 hardware zinc plated ? , it was not originally . Zinc plating causes hydrogen embrittlement .
I hope the hardware was baked after plating .

If it matters to you on the spring plate bolts the top one faces in, the bottom faces out.

Ed, just to be certain. You are saying the Yellow bolt circled should face the other way correct?

Ed and Rich .......Isn't also true that the caliper attaching bolts should be black phosphate?

Yes, the top bolt you have circled would be installed facing inwards.
