yes I've seen that in evo magazine.
It's not my cup of tea and singer is neither.
Either old or new (e.g. the new Ruf is great)
If old, then old - which means to me at least 85% period parts no EFI, no 123 dizzy, no semiconductors (if possible)

Love the car. Hate the price. At $250k I'd FedEx a check today. At $500k? Not interested. Just too many other options for that kind of cash.

I feel the same way on pricing.

I’d prefer a 1800 ES though, and frankly I would want it to be more retro. Smaller more period looking wheels. Maybe not carbon fiber. Etc.

More like what Rod Emory does to a 356.

Also having had a HPA 500hp, AWD (from an Audi), Brembo brakes, twin turbo, nitrous misted VW R32, which easily out ran my 993tt, I look for dealer support. Very few places can or will work on these, even if they are using factory parts.

Aside from the carbon body, the rest could probably be built for that. But it's really an answer to a question no one asked.

This. We owned a very nice ES once, underneath they're basically a 122 and drive like a truck... I had fantasies of modern underpinnings but the car was nearly pristine, it would have been wrong to restomod it.

After a few years we weren't sorry to sell it. It went back to Sweden with just 27,000 miles on it.

BTW, when new they were priced nearly the same as a 911!
