    May want to consider Dry Ice Blasting to clean up the undercarriage and body, and add Carrera Chain Tensioners, the latter especially if you're going to drive the car often.

    I kept the original undercoating on my '72T as well. I'm in Western Oregon, so mine sees rain as well.

    Dry Ice Blasting does not remove undercoating or any surface material. The links below show how it is used in automotive applications, and how it actually works technically/chemically.
