I was using the info and part numbers from a Fuchs thread on this forum. These parts numbers came from Harvey Weidman who knows far more about Fuchs than I ever will.

I’ve never heard that 6’s were stock on the 68S but used the 5.5 part number. Don’t doubt Troos measurement capability, just the explanation of the part number.
Thanks Michael and I was also trying to figure out if the 12.04 is 5.5 or 6? When I look it up on google they all seem to be 5.5. I guess this is all part of the "charm" with early Porsche mfg.

IMG_5915.jpg Just went and took a pic of the .04 wheel. You can see the part number and the stamped wheel size in this Pic 6J 15.

Well, I believe that the 12.04 is and was intended to be the 5.5. It's just that some of the early 6s appear to be mis-marked by part number though properly marked with the size. Plenty of examples of these kinds of anomalies out there on different sizes of Fuchs. As for the 68S, I believe the 12.04 part is correct but, it was a 5.5" wheel, not a 6".

So, back to the regular programming and another free bump for Troos (GLWTS)!
