question on value: NOS swb euro rear turn signal

    @all

I could get hands on a set of

    NOS swb rear turn signals,
    mint,
    in original box,
    left & right

    stored away in 1990,
    came to light again today.

How is the current marketvalue for a set?
I am supposed to hand in an offer.

    thank you in advance

The auction price isn't bad - and totally credible. They're for sale by an old pal of ours.

You know how it goes in the collectible world: huge money for a mint, uncirculated coin and and plummets from there. Not sure how that works with items that are functional, like taillights. I suppose they will always have the collectible value if you never take them out of the box. But actually install them!!! Them are used boy.

I will get a detailed pricing information from the seller tomorrow.
2k seems near, but not yet the bid to buy, I guess.

If s.o. wants the set, rare enough for them to appear,
    please dm

I think I see spade marks on one of those units and the seal looks a little "used" to me. One of them might be an early take off? If so, as good as it is, I'd adjust an offer accordingly.

A box does not NOS make.

your eyes are precise and „more eyes spot the difference“

    news update from the seller:
They (both) were briefly assembled for a photo 20 years ago and then dismantled and stowed away in their original packaging..

So, did you buy them? I'm trying to figure out what the fair price is on a set that I have.

    John,

no, I did not, as the set had been installed once for testing, hence the NOS status had expired.
Discussions for a reduced pricing did not work out…too different expectations and a „fulda gap“

1.5k for NOS in a box is a very very good price..
650 for one side NOS no box is excellent
