Thanks Cees, I think I have one and will take a look through my bins of parts.

On another note I ended up going with original brake brackets on the front. The old setup was custom aluminum for 3.5 brakes. In doing so I added 1lbs total.
So 1lbs added total weight 1846lbs

Which lights are mounted on your car? I mean front indicators and rear tailights. Do you have pictures?

Nothing is mounted at the moment, but the car has R style rears that I may modify and cover with a stock taillight lense. Car is at the paint shop now.

Nothing to report in terms of weight loss but the car is having the FG parts fitted.
Will go into the both this weekend and should have it back Monday..ish

Final weigh in will be next week. Still a couple small jobs to do before the June 18th Canadian Vintage grand Prix

I thought I would show a quick before and after front trunk area. I went to bare metal and repainted the front trunk area, cleaned up the wiring, matched hardware etc. I also ended up giving the
fuel cell a polish, new gaskets etc.

Car will be back from paint Wed. I'll need to do a bit of assembly then on to the scales for the final weight. While at the paint shop I decided to remove the
old door sil plates. I noticed a bit of the competition at the last Rennsport removing this so I thought I'd join them.
Below you will see the King Hedinger car and the pic of my old sils. (Two pcs in the picture stacked together)

1lbs saved total estimated weight now 1845 lbs

Finally got the car on the ground and complete. I still need to set the ride height and corner balance but the final weight is in! Drum roll......

I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Now that being said we all tend to get greedy. How to trim 12lbs to get to a mythical 17xx lbs. Steel fenders that's saying something.

Here are some pictures before the weigh in. I'll get more when the car is in its race livery.

    Fiberglass rain hats?
Ditch the pop out window frames and glue in the plexi, ala R?
    Plastic door handles?

Anything to be saved in wheels and tires?

Good points, the rears are 15x6 and will be swapped to 15x7 so I'm guessing there will be an uptick there. Though I will be able to remove the 1inch spacers in the rear. So I'm guessing with the larger tire it will be a wash.
I had R handles and that saves a pound. Issue was the paint shop painted the handles body color. Looked poor and I forgot to mention it before paint. They assumed all white plastic handles should be painted. Lol

I might remove the rain hats and use race style hats. (I forget the proper term)

-I can remove the hour meter gauge
    -head liner
-glove box door..but it's so tight to the cage I can't get to the hinges.

There is always the option of switching the MSD boxes to
reworked CDI units. I believe it will save 3-4 lbs but a costly 3-4 lbs.

I can remove a few pounds relatively cheap but the last 8-9 will be tougher.

Anyone know the difference between 15x6 and 15x7 Fuchs?
