Thanks guys, busy time coming up. Aug 21 Caliboggie race, then the following week Limerock followed by The Glen! I wanted to pull my Bilsteins out and have Elephant rebuild them but it's too tight for time. Will have to be a late fall project. I was going to go with custom von shocks to fit my Koni struts but the Bilsteins in now(custom gland nut) will be re valved to fit my lower weight and TB sizes

I would ditch the engine lid grille, I would expect that design to flow less air than the factory grill, or no grill.

Thanks Brookes , I've currently got 15x6 15x7 205/50 and 225/50. I'm playing with 15x7 15x8...seems impossible but these fenders have been massaged a little.
Tires will stay the same and be optimized with the wider rim.

got to thank fellow member Erich Wilms. He made these rear window hinges.
I wasn't sure how much weight it would save but it was worth the effort. just under 0.5 lb
plus I don't have the rear window shaking open on track.
if you are looking for some of his custom parts check here, he even makes the grille studs that everyone seems to need.

I think you'll find this interesting. I was switching out my 40mm chokes for 36's and I noticed how heavy the rain hat assembly was. I knew there was a bit of fat there but I didn't think much of it.
I have a foam filter set on the shelf and thought let's test this.
Stock set up for two pcs 7.2 LBS!!!
Foam JB racing set up 2.0 lbs
That's a 5lbs savings of the rear off the car!
As it stands now I'm around 1807 LBS.

Cool thread and sweet build, well done.
Well a quick update, I'm headed to Limerock and the Glen early Sept. A few small changes
Protipio steering wheel replaced a more modern Momo
Saved 0.6 Lbs Removed the r lense covers for stock horn grilles and signals.1.6 vs 2.4 Gained 0.8 lbs so pretty much a wash.
As it stands now I'm at 1806 lbs.
I'm swapping out my tarret rear bar for stock as I don't like the way the end links are working. I've got an idea to correct this but it may have to wait until after the event.
Basically the tarett arms are too long on SWB cars. RSR style arms should do the trick.im curious the weight difference stock vs tarret..stay tuned.
