Impressive savings here, I went with a larger bar
Front and rear so thought the savings would be minimal.
22/30 solid to a 23/33 hollow.

Forgot to remove the passenger seat mount bracket. Another 1lbs saved. Focused on the low hanging fruit for now.

Made another easy swap today. Took out the steel front tow hook and tie down, replaced with aluminum. Saved almost 1lbs
1lbs saved 1972.5 total weight
Tomorrow I'm on to the battery for more savings.

Big savings today! The car had an Optima yellow top small 480 cca battery. Not the typical Yellow but the smaller (possible motorcycle) battery. It weighed in at 27.5 lbs.
I bought an anti gravity lithium which is a featherweight.
Weighing in at....
Yes 3lbs!! I figured this modern battery makes up for the added safety equipment used now compared to back in the day.

Turns out the tank had just over 6lbs of fuel in it. I dumped that and will minus the 6lbs from the total.
This will make it a fair comparison at the end.

Well this is a job! Not sure what kind of losses it will yeild but I do know I'm loosing weight!
