I forgot to mention , the fuel cell went bad and was replaced. It was a Fuel Safe Porsche specific 15 gal cell and weighed 29lbs.The bladder was toast and had become sludge. I replaced it with a ATL Bantam 15 gal. It is the lightest on the market and saved almost 10lbs.
That brought the weight down to 1835 for my estimates.

So after all that I was off by 25lbs. I did a few little things along the way, removing the horn button, cage padding on the passenger side etc. All that with the undercoating removed must have added up to the 25lbs difference

    Great job!

Is the total weight with fluids or dry?

Here is a wheel weight chart for reference:

Not great, I had an issue with the fuel cell and need another part. All things considered not a big deal. Silver lining , I got to spend more time helping my son who was racing
at the same event in his F1600. This car he rebuilt over the winter, many small gremlins to chase. Long story short it was a weekend of short stints
on track followed by long stints in the paddock. My next event will by Tremblant July 10th,11th ,fingers crossed I get the part from the US in time!

So a shakedown weekend for the cars. What engine is used in your F1600?

Well I've been debating what other changes I can make that will shave those last 10-15lbs. I want to keep it peiord correct..ish

    On the list so far

    Part est Weight savings

    -R Door handles 1 lbs

    -Rain hats/shield 2 lbs

-Sparco Light race harness 2 lbs

-Aluminum tow hook rear 0.5 lbs

-Fuel pump switch from Holley to Faucet 2lbs

-Calculations on switch from 15x6 rear to 15x7 + wider tire +1 lbs

A couple other options would be to remove the aluminium rear quarter trim and glue it in. For the savings I prefer
the frames. I also thought about taking the head liner out and still might. I could glue in perlon, savings would be approx 2lbs.

Lastly I'm switching out the front "R" style turn signal deletes for std lenses and plasticg horn grilles. Not sure if it will make any difference
    other than cosmetic.

I'm open to any other thoughts but I'm still approx 6 lbs short.

    Cheers
    John

Here is an image with decals, forgive the ride height as the car is not set in these pictures.
