    Best door lock mechanism lube (not door lock)

    The mechanism to open and close the door on my 911 was very very stiff and wouldn’t full close. I removed it from the door and found it was caked with old, hardened grease. It’s been fully cleaned and functions perfectly out of the car.

    What’s the best grease to lubricate all the sliding and pivoting points?

    Graphite based like slip-plate?
    White lithium?
    Run of the mill lubricating oil?
    Regular grease?

    Any help would be appreciated

    I love Wurth HHS lubricant. It ain’t cheap but it works very well and has great properties.

    I second the Wurth HHS, goes on liquid and hardens up like wax
