I have never seen an Autoflug harness in a pre-73 Porsche 911. If anyone has a historical picture i would love to see it.

    Good luck with the sale.

@stretch: now I've seen what you meant above. thanks for the hint. took out the 60s. from 70s would be correct. where i also have a AUTOFLUG (buess) from the 60s - but that comes later. regards

Happy to help. I wish you luck with the sale. I think it's important to get these details correct otherwise people with less knowledge end up buying the wrong part for an authentic period correct build.

I think you can also easily see from the design (belt buckle for example) that it cannot be 60s. so thanks again for the hint. regards

belt number 3 has meanwhile been sold.

the numbers 1/2/4 are still available.

From what I gather those are correct for a 1974 3.0 RS. Only 55 made.

    I’m no seatbelt expert....

These images were published around September and October 1974. Harness is visible in both so might help those interested how these two examples were equipped back in the day.

Model year 74 Carrera RS interior. A Repa harness in this car’s case:

A different 74 3.0 RS — RHD — also appears to have Repa harness too although it less clear:

Not relevant to seatbelt but incidentally noticed when taking photo the standing kilometre acceleration of the 3.0 RS was 25.35 sec vs 2.7 RS first 500 series RHD M472 touring of previous year which recorded 25.4 for same benchmark. 3.0 RS only about one mph (3kph) slower top speed than less bulbous 2.7. I realise they are quite different in character the later car being creatively positioned as “evolution” of 2.7 homologation with many more Group 3/4 racing components bundled in as standard with a huge increase in price but those acceleration and top speed benchmarks are nevertheless interesting especially for people not intending to track or race them.
