    1970 911 Color Code 79

    Does anyone know the color name for color code 79 for 1970?

    I come up with 7979 for coupe (7910 for a Targa) 'special order' 1970 paint color Light Red

    This is a very rare color and for 70 & 71 I only have one VIN with it. Therefore, I would like to learn as much as possible about your car. At least the VIN and get a photo of the paint badge. Documenting this car would be worthwhile.

    No, but it is supposed to be an example of light red. There is, supposedly, a 72 in the color.

    When I was hunting for my Fraise car I found an original owner, '71 911S in light red in New York. I may still have the email with the car's info and photos. I'll look this week.
