    915 serial number

Can anyone tell me if there is more than one location for the serial number on a 915 trans? The usual number has been obliterated by the POs penchant for driving on crowned dirt roads. Thanks

I don't think there is, Pat. But I'd be thrilled to be told otherwise. Mine is also MIA, as was the number on the 915 in my friend's former '73.5T.

I wondered why the single location of a serial number was exposed the way it is to potential road rash/damage. I know of only one indicator for serial number on these transmissions, unfortunately.
    Looking for a 1967 911S Project!
