    69 911S Pilot bearing fit

Wondering if anybody out there has encountered this:
    - Old bearing required inordinate amount of force to remove
    - New bearing OD measures 0.986" - same as the one that was removed
    - FW ID measures 0.9835 - 0.994"
This fit seems way too tight. While there are no specs for this. I believe std. practice would indicate a .0005 - .001 interference fit.
Before I chuck the bearing in lathe and polish to 0.985" I was wondering if anyone has encountered this situation.
Alternate solution would be to shrink it in place by heating FW, cooling bearing but the re-sizing solution seems better.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Update - Polished bearing OD to .985 - Problem solved
