In my research it seems the plastic hard lines from the reservoir attach to the master cylinder with rubber connections(gizmo's). Since they are a supplier of fluid and not under pressure they don't need a threaded connection. Going to take out today and see what I find. I did find 2 replacement rubber grommets on the parts catalog. Not sure which one I need yet but will know after I remove.

    Hi Terry,

They typically come with new master cylinders, but these are the grommets that the flared metal ends go into. They are tricky to get fully seated, lots of lube helps.

    Brad,
I bought a stalled project years ago and let it sit for 5 more. The PO did some work on the car before it stalled...the master cylinder must have been rebuilt. When I took apart all the parts were like new. The rubber grommets you reference were still like new as well. Anyway, looks like just before the master cylinder the line changes from a plastic type to a aluminum type material. I put a little dishwashing soap on the rubber and the fluted end and they slid in fairly easy I marked the depth before I removed so I knew I was seated all the way down( and I could feel the pop in place when down all the way). I did buy new grommets in case I dinged one up but they were in such good shape I left the originals in. Thanks for the note.
