    Is anyone reproducing the 1965 Solex air boxes?

    Is anyone reproducing the 1965 Solex air boxes?

    Just bought one out of Europe that is being sold as NOS. It's very pretty (and very expensive) but it got me thinking. Is anyone reproducing these?

    For such an expense reproduction (the going rate of a nice original one) they should take a serious look at the genuine clip design versus their own. What are they all about?

    I am not saying that this is a fact with Porsche aircleaners but I know from other brands that these clips changed within batches and the two designs are interchangeable.

    @LivefromNY: Did you buy the very nice one in Italy about a month ago? I was looking again and again at that one but was a bit too slow and thought the price was too high. Now the price compared to the repros seems very reasonable. Well... If anybody has a complete air filter housing for an early 1965, pls let me know.
