    Brake caliper identification help

I have a newly acquired 1967 911 normal and it has vented rotors front and rear. The rear Ate calipers are marked R16.
Does anyone know what year these brakes would have come from?
I didn’t think they were 67s calipers from the markings.
    Thanks for any help.

I would have to see more photos of the caliper from several angles to see the fluid ports. The only calipers I know of with bleeders on the outer half had external fluid lines. It appears to me that this caliper made be modified in several ways, or not from a Porsche.

What is the spacing between the mounting ears. Standard SWB 2+” or (modified to) 3”?

These can help you out! https://www.pmbperformance.com/catalog.html They helped me identify and restore my early 911 brakes....I highly recommend them!

They do have the look of the 1967/68 911S rear caliper. It may be I can see the fluid transfer line across the bottom. The 1967/68 911S rear caliper is the only one with a spacer for the vented rotor that looks like this one. A rare bird if that is what they are.

Dave is correct. On the second picture you can see the bridge line. They are the S/L vented rotor brake calipers and should have a 38mm piston

Yes the set up appears to be 911S front and rear. Front sway bars as well. Do you have a CoA or Kardex for the car? I can help with the latter. It might reveal if this was an option on the car. Can you provide a photo of the transmission type & serial #? The VIN would help me also. Very interesting. The casting #'s R16 & 18R have no real significance; they probably identify the moulds used to create the castings in the foundry so that problems could be traced.
