    What was the original plating?

    On the latches in 65? Is that silver cad or clear zinc or ?

    What is cadmium plated? Only hardware like nuts and bolts?

    Richard, hardly any but would have to review my notes. In general I have found the early parts book to be extremely accurate with regard to the plating mentioned. The only thing it will not note is silver versus yellow chromate. Late '65 cars seems to have quite the mix

    I have tested a few items on early 911 and only found the ATE calipers and fuel tubing to be cad.

    Brad, There were also some washers and the special bolts for the rear lids which did not test out as zinc and had a silver finish, most likely cad, need to review my notes
