    917 Engine Stand

    Greetings,

Does anyone have a better picture of the 917 outer engine stand? It looks to be a simple build. I am day dreaming about making one for my 911 engine stand. I know it is not really necessary, but I like to make things.

I am guessing the turnbuckle is M20 size. Any ideas from our European friends on German turnbuckle manufacturers?

    Thank you,

    Brad

Brad, here's what they were using at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles (Carson) a few years ago...

You might consider finding a factory 928 engine support instead, it's more adaptable for other engines and it's a genuine Porsche item.
I can post a picture of mine if you're interested.
