'. . . This 1970 Porsche 911S Coupe is a European-specification example first sold through Mahag Porsche of Munich, Germany, and it is finished in Silver Metallic over black leatherette upholstery with Pepita seat inserts and powered by a numbers-matching 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include Recaro front sport seats, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, Coco Mats, fog lights, and 15″ Fuchs wheels. The car was imported to the US in the early 1970s, and it spent time in Idaho and Vermont before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. A 2021 service included the installation of Michelin tires and replacement of the battery, rear Koni shocks, shifter bushings, and fluids and filters. This 911S is now offered as part of DriverSource’s Spring Motoring Collection with factory books, a tool roll, a European emergency triangle kit, records dating to the 1970s, Porsche Production Specifications and Classic Technical Certificates, a dashboard cover, and a clean Texas title.
The selling dealer states that the car was refinished in its factory Silver Metallic (8080) during previous ownership. Features include amber tail lights, body-colored bumpers with chrome overriders and rubber moldings, bright rocker moldings, Bosch H4 headlights, and Hella fog lights. Images of Sekurit glass etchings are provided in the gallery below, and a vintage-look Idaho plate is included in the sale.
Fuchs 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 185/70 Michelin XWX Tires showing 2018 and 2019 date codes, which were recently installed by the selling dealer. A matching spare wheel is stored in the front trunk and can be seen in the gallery along with 1969 date stamps on all five wheels. Replacement rear Koni Red shocks were installed by the selling dealer in 2021, and the spring plate bushings were replaced in 2016.
The cabin features Recaro front sport seats equipped with headrests, and the seats were reupholstered in black leatherette with Pepita cloth inserts during previous ownership. Additional equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, three-point seat belts, an ivory-colored perforated vinyl headliner, aluminum door sill covers, and Coco floor mats. The shifter bushings were replaced in 2021, and a dashboard cover is included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames an 8k-rpm central tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and now shows under 32k kilometers (~20k miles), with total mileage unknown.
The 2.2-liter flat-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 180 horsepower with 199 lb-ft of torque. A Porsche Technical Inspection was performed by Porsche of Houston in November 2020, and an oil change was performed along with replacement of the battery in 2021 . . .
Engine stamping *6300237* matches both the Porsche Production Specifications and Classic Technical Certificates. Transaxle stamping 7115851 is shown below and in the gallery, and also matches the Classic Technical Certificate . . .'
