Thread: 1970-1971 vapor hose on fuse box cover clip?

1970-1971 vapor hose on fuse box cover clip?

I am seeking to know if there was a change in 1971 from what appears to be a 1970 design where the larger clear vapor hose courses through the fuse box cover retaining clip (image 1 and 2) and not a side wall exit. In my late 1971 build this hose exits on a metal tube extension at the side wall (image 3).

Can someone confirm if my assumption is correct, that 1970 models exit somewhere in the front of the frunk and use the clip and not at the side wall as in these photos whereas 1971 exits the side wall?

    Thanks,
    Zed

Pretty sure that clip is only used for ROW cars. I see you don't have a charcoal cannister, but you do have the welded tube for the fender vapor collector, so that does make it a U.S. car. As far as I know 70-71-and 72-73 are all the same. And normally the windshield washer line follows the main wire harness, the M/cyl vent line runs along the fender attachment points.

Actually I do have the charcoal cannister, Ed. So, no clip for US cars?

Yes, apparently no clip on US cars. Nice battery emblem BTW!

Ha! You have continental taste in batteries.
Where does your master cylinder vent tube exit the car?
