FS: 70 911T Targa #s matching project Tangerine Fuchs $25k

70 911T Targa project, car is very restorable and has been off the road since 1992 - Asking price is $25k. Original engine/transaxle (serial #s match Porsche Cert of Auth) and the factory options were the M470 Appearance Group (M414 911S instruments/oil tank, M565 Leather-wrapped wheel, Velour carpet, Aluminum door sills/chrome rocker panels, Rubber capped bumperettes, 911S rubber mouldings front, rear & sides, Gold ”Porsche” nameplate and model number) and M400 Fuchs 6x15 alloys. West coast car, originally delivered/sold out of Portland Oregon. Appears to be one respray in the original Tangerine color.

    The Good
Numbers matching engine and transaxle, All 5 Fuchs alloys are original deep 6 date matched (7/69)
Previous owner reportedly had engine rebuilt with a 2.4 crank and had started adding aftermarket turbo setup but never finished. Oil looks to have never been run and no indications of any oil leaks. Original Zenith 40 TIN carburetors and air filter come with the car. Floor pans are in good shape and appear original to the car
    Clear/signed Washington title
Single respray in the original Tangerine orange color

    The Bad/To Do list
Like almost all 60s/70s 911s there are signs of rust. Driver and passenger rocker show typical rot, bottom of passenger door shows rust bubbling on the lower portion. Evidence of previous accident on front right.
Engine turns over 95% of the way then meets some resistance, suspect water may have got into #3 cylinder and rusted. Intake manifolds are missing, no idea what type of aftermarket turbo setup previous owner was planning on.
Plan on going through the brakes and fuel system since its been sitting almost 30 yrs
