FS: 1971 911T Targa Bahia Red

Going to sell my '71 Targa thought I would list it here first but will end up on BAT if nothing happens here. I have owned the car for 11 years and have done many cross country trips in it to several Parades, some people here I am sure have seen it in person. It is really a very high end driver, mechanically it is in excellent shape with a full engine rebuild end of 2017 thru beginning of 2018 by a local childhood friend who retired recently from Loeber Motors (local Porsche Dealer) and was a Gold Meister certified tech. He worked on my 914's when he was 16 years old 1980-81. I have done everything I wanted with this car and it is time to let someone else enjoy it, besides this car I am selling my 2012.5 991 in platinum silver (7 speed manual) with 20k miles. Going to buy a new 911 with PDK. This Targa has 94k original miles, resprayed in original (Bahia Red) by previous owner 18 years ago. Transmission was rebuilt at same time as engine, gas tank was refurbished also and is like new. New Porsche brand batteries left and right, spare is the original from 1971, all deep six Fuchs are date matched from 1970 and are original unrestored. Targa top was redone by Dan Patchel (carsincnj) and is in like new condition, seatbelts are dated 1971 and were NOS. Sports seats are from Stefan at GTS classics and are very nice, also have the original equipment that will go with the car: comfort seats you get the original 400m leather wrapped steering wheel in excellent condition(one installed is not included), original headlights with sugar scoops. This is a numbers matching car and is a real head turner. I will try and get some under carriage pictures once I get over to a lift. Asking $82,000.

Mike -- I am a bit shocked to see you are letting this car go, but I totally understand. People ----- This is the person to buy a car from. Mike's attention to detail is next level. Not too many of these documented driven cars are put on the market.

very generous to offer it here first, I would imagine it will go above this ask on BAT given the level of detail. I'd snap it up if I wasn't already long a '71 T targa.

Btw, how many 50-year old cars can reasonably complete "many cross country trips" in the past 11 years, and for that to be (somewhat) normal and expected?

Super Nice. I just closed on a Targa for so much more than this. Was too excited! Oh well. GLWS. Beautiful car.
