    Dumb rear brake line question

Hope those more experienced with the 9 series cars can help me.

I am finishing the brakes on my car and running into a question mark with regard to the rear brakes lines. The parts book calls for a a little "adaptor" between the steel and rubber line. Having some question marks on how to mount this as the OD for the adaptor appears to be very close to the ID of the hole in the bracket. Pretty sure I am overlooking something simple.

    TIA,

    JK

Joris, that is how mine is. This is the best photo I can get without lifting the car.

Thanks for the picture Chuck. Bit hard to see but looks like I have it mounted correctly. Any people out there who can confirm?

Here are some more. From my '73S. Done by a guy who definitely knows what he is doing. Taken from underneath since Hildegard is on the lift in the garage.
