The editor or owner of that magazine does not know the state of commitment in which it has been Jurguen for a long time? Commitment I say, because we still do not know if he is guilty ...... but I understood that the news flies and I, where I see certain names today. It is enough for me to laugh, and close the page with a click. . **
by the way, does anyone have images of this vehicle in a sporting event? It would be interesting to see those images instead of the current ones!
I did not find much information about the vehicle. Just a link where the VIN and model 2.5 is named

Yes, I had the same thoughts. The article mentions racing in Monza and Targa Florio x 2, then later in various Italian hill climbs. Articles like these are nice but period photos lend credence !!

Thats my old car,its as genuine a st as it gets, its not just a 491 its also a 471,had many fun years in it,plenty of period pics and history, not every st is a duffer! It has factory double inner front fenders, which was only done on may be just 4 cars, and the chassis/tub is 100%.Not so sure about matching numbers,as it was not when i owned,it ran as a 2.0ltr,a 2.3 and a 2.5.

good vehicle! To be clear. I don't think this was a fake S / T! It simply amazes me that they continue to come to light ... Although this one was already known. I have looked for something else ... there are several articles !! here one ...

    This car could be called ... S / T 2.5 prototype? Or is there a vehicle that was a 1971 S / T with a 2.5 engine older than this one?

if it was a 2.5 since his departure. Shouldn't this vehicle have "air" intakes in the front bumper for oil coolers? Or was it an early S / T 2.5 and such ideas hadn't been developed yet?

the article cites that an unrestored car was being sought. But in the advertisement posted for this vehicle in this forum it says that the vehicle had been previously restored in 1991. So, this vehicle, when it was found by export56, had it already been restored before?

'. . . supplied by the Factory in early 1971 to an Italian racing driver Count Girolamo Capra, ordered to M491 Race Specification. According to factory records thus is one of the very first ST’s supplied with a 2.5 engine . . .

    . . . 911 130 0721 one of the most original examples of an M491 ST.

The car was raced principally in Italy and was active between mid 1971 and 1975. The most significant races entered were the 1971 Coppa lntereuropa at Monza and the 1972 and 1973 Targa Florio’s. The Targa Florio was the most famous road race of its time and had similar status to the Le Mans 24 hours and the Nürburgring and Monza 1000kms races.

‘0721’ is currently presented in its famous class winning Targa Florio livery with original sponsors decals and race number. Interestingly the car campaigned on a set of Gold PAG Campagnolo wheels which Capra ran on the car at the Targa Florio in 1972 and 1973 . . .

. . . scored its most significant result, finishing 1st in class in the 57th Targa Florio. In addition to these major international events, ‘ 0721’ also successfully competed in a large number of Italian races, hill climbs and rallies

Thats interesting!as when i owned the car the factory info was that it was supplied with no engine, and capra ran it in the 2.0 ltr class and 2.3 and later 2.5.The car was restored in italy in 91 with many photos and original plastic front fenders,i sold it to a plastic surgeon in germany who used it alot, the last time i saw it was at the nurburgring oldtimer grand prix where i was competing, and this st was struggling to get through scruttaneering, they did not know a original factory st when they had seen oneLots of special factory tweeks on it to this day.

...Yet its present condition is nothing like any of the historic pictures. Cibies, mirrors, adhesive stripes, front wheels, fuel filler, emergency switches, bumper mouldings, ....
