    Hi Ravi,

    I have deep 6 Fuchs on the front and 7R Fuchs on the rear. Harvey added the extra inch to the inside of real deep 6 Fuchs.

    Front tires - Pirelli P6000 - 195/65-15 7 mm spacer
    Rear tires - Pirelli P6000 - 215/60-15 15 mm spacer

    The car is lowered to Euro height with some negative camber around -2 degrees in the rear.

    Over big bumps my driver rear tire would rub against the fender lip. So I reduced the rear spacer to 12 mm and that seems to have solved the rubbing issue. The inside of the rear tire is about 7-8 mm from the rear spring plate bolt.

    I did not roll the rear fender lips. These cars are hand made and not equal on either side.

    I tried different rear spacers and 16 mm would not fit at all.

    I do like the extra grip from the wider rear tires.

    Great ideas everyone. Thanks for the pointers. I think I had seen the TRE wheels a few years ago and forgotten about them. EB Motorsports in the UK makes an aluminium Fuchs replica that is super light (and 3 times the price of the TRE one!). I'm not too worried about weight. I'm not competitively racing.

    Bert, you obviously would have to use longer wheel studs with a 12 mm spacer, which I think I don't want to do. I'd rather leave the mechanicals stock for interchangeability with the original wheels (don't know why, because I'm not doing shows, but just something I want to do I guess). BTW, that Fuchs wheel you sold me years ago is now living a sunny life in Australia. Nice to hear from you.

    Hi Ravi,

    I did install longer wheel studs. You could also try wheel adapters to avoid the longer wheel studs. I know that 15 mm adapters exist. Not sure on 12 mm versions.

    I think there is about 15 mm of exposed thread on the standard studs, so you need at least a 15 mm deep adapter so the studs don't protrude past the spacer. So I think that sets the lower limit unfortunately.
