Maybe but those were part numbers, I suspect not available as options. There were lots of mechanics that could drop the axles, take off side cover, remove ring gear from diff, re-stack the plates and re-install, rather than buy a new diff. I could do that job in an hour. We do need a salesman’s order info.

No, SP designates limited slip. Late gearboxes had a SP paper tag glued on the top web of the diff case.

"Why highlight it in the construction file? I can understand that for change or repair, but this type of thing, it would not be noted in another type of document? When repairs or changes of parts were made to a vehicle, they were noted on the same sheet of construction?
