I love the induction sound from this set up and it's not too loud. I just wish the filter color was gray or black instead of green.

Curious who makes this one? Looks like it's metal? And looks good.

Learned the hard way (on the dyno) that a stock 914-6/911T snorkel can rob meaningful horsepower from even a hot-rod 2.2—so these "open" filter holders are a great way to go.

Also: If anyone needs a factory MFI shroud (plastic), I recently bought one but will not be needing it.

I made it in my garage using an old warped Porsche plastic snorkel with the snorkel part cut off and a Green Filter #2384. It’s very easy to make, but it took me countless hours searching for a filter with dimensions that will properly seal and filter all induction air.

That is slick. Is there a cap on the end of the filter? In one picture it looks solid, yet in another it looks open. If it is open, what did you do to seal the end?

There is a cap at the end of the filter. I cut an 87mm diameter hole so it will fit at the same mounting location as the original filter inside the air box.

The air filter box was never warped only the plastic snorkel.
