    FS: Porsche 917 silk scarf

    Hi all,
    This 917 Red/ Blue Silk Scarf that I have had the privilege of being the custodian of and I am selling it.
    It has obviously been well loved and worn and is not perfect however it retains it's integrity and grace.
    At some point in its life it has been washed (probably in hot water) and this caused the Red Dye to run.
    When I purchased it this did not concern me however upon getting it out of storage a couple of days ago I decided if I could remedy the issue.
    Subsequently I have double soaked this scarf in a 'anti dye run' product called "SARD" and it has improved its condition a good 75% however the white still holds a very very pale pinkish hue. There are other slightly darker small blotches which have been indicated by green dots in my pictures below.
    The bottom right above the corner has the smallest of wear and tear holes ( well loved obviously ) and there is thinning on the left hand side near the edge.
    I believe that this scarf is the perfect candidate for framing where the correct backing colour and medium can be chosen to eliminate the scarfs subtle flaws from it's 50 years of being loved.
    It is not perfect and I am informing all interested parties to inspect the photos and purchase knowingly.

    This scarf has faded out better than expected and looking good.
    I have looked around and cannot find any of these out there, so $625 fees and postage.
