    You want a place that has a machine that grips from the bottom, not clamp from the top, and has the plastic guards on the spin head, so there is never any metal on metal. Other than that, buy lunch to have the guys be extra careful with your stuff, that's what I used to do before I bought a tire machine to do everything in house. If you're really paranoid you could tape up the face of the lip of the rim.

    A paint brush of 1" width, dipped in wd40 from a tray, applied to inside and outside of beads, will allow you to get close, until the 2ND bead tightens up at 60% or so mounted. Then you need 75 - 150 lbs of force, which is difficult manually. Steel wheels are fun, that's about it.

    I concur with JP on the previous page, gomobile. Had them out a few weeks ago to mount some OZ racing AMG wheels for our Benz. Couldn’t be happier.

    Yes Canadian. And it's more like a dime. Prices here for a lot of things are much lower than you might think. And the pricing differentials don't always make sense, but there it is. Always good to shop around.

    Any adivse on what is the best thing to use for weights on a Fuch?

    I have 25 years in tires (first career). There are plenty of good, no-touch rim-clamp tire changers available that can do a fine job on any wheel, _if_ they are used correctly by a well-trained operator who cares and is not rushed. There are so many bits to deal with, especially on Fuchs. For example, deep-sixes should have tires mounted from the back side. This adds an additional bit of complexity to do correctly. If you try to mount or dismount them from the front side (and it can be done), you are at serious risk of damaging either the rim or the bead of the tire going on. You are going to want to have some less-than-perfect samples of most of the wheels and tire sizes you expect to deal with for practice and learning.

    Most shops use tape weights in my experience.

    I've taken some Fuchs to my go-to tire shop with mixed results. He bashed a 16"x7" off a GBody car. When I've had him mount tires on 5.5", I've explained to him the value, and that I've read the best way is to mount them from inside. My experience has been that the communication before they mount them is helpful. They don't see these wheels often, if ever, and I'm always concerned they don't understand what they have. They see 18" wheels all day long everyday.

    Ask Weidman. He mounts tires and ships that way.
