interesting car. i am happy to contribute my part in the assessment - only relating to the driver's seat. the seat actually seems to be in its original condition and I would also guess the year of construction to be late 1968 - max 1970. the substructure, i.e. rails and brackets, are unfortunately no longer original but aftermarket. probably not 20 years old. The seat is not an "R" seat in the sense of "911R" but the designation 9236 R. Seat L means "Recaro Seat left" and 9237 R. Seat R means "Recaro seat right". Another indication that the car was at Karmann (Osnabrück) in July 1969, I don't think so. kardex expressly says "Kahrmann" for this. Can't imagine that a typo of this kind would happen here. so the porschezentrum fulda - kahrmann (which still exists today) is probably applicable here. frankfurt (glöckler) and fulda are not that far away geographically either.Hope I could help a bit. good luck with the sale - what a shame, something like that would have been something for me 20 years ago. friendly greetings from Germany

Very nice but I’d strip it and paint it tangerine again.

I saw this car first hand before it shipped off . It had many great in period rare bits on-her and some cool interesting history.
It was an in period build and not to be confused as factory delivered with any sports purpose. The car also originally did have rear seats. The pivot pins still had wear marks and the perlon in the rear seat base was not a match to the rest of the perlon.
Still a pretty cool car all weathered out as is.

    Regards, Robert
