Did Porsche ever use these license plate lights on any model?
Those are used on BMW 2002s.

They were used to light numbers on race cars. Some 914/6 GT cars had them.

They aren't any more or less expensive because someone back in the day may have picked up a standard Hella part and slapped it on a race car. You should post a for sale add on a BMW forum, or Samba or EBay. You have all the info you need to determine what to charge for em.

They were put on doors. But, I agree with Michael, other lights could have been used too.
