    Anyone own a 924 ?

    Guys
    Considering an early 77 version.
Seems simple & functional , any issues or hold out for a turbo version.
    Thanks for thoughts and comments

My family had a metallic green one when I was a teenager in the late 1970’s. It was the first Porsche I ever drove. My memory was hearing my dad say “we’ve spent so much money on it, we’ve got to keep it”. That eventually transitioned to, “we’ve spent so much money on it, we’ve got to get rid of it!”. I’d still love to have a chance to drive it again. Fun little underpowered car.

Thanks for note….glad you have warm thoughts for the 924.
Certainly underpowered but so is my daily commuter (4 cylinder stick Ford focus )
    My others change the expected power C4S, 2.5 71 , Boxster S .
Just think it might be fine to play with a different feel on the road.
    Maybe turbo version….?

It’s funny about these cars. I haven’t seen a 924 in forever. The last time I visited the EASY Donutfest, a 944 drove by and I had to take a pic of it as a neat ‘rarity’. A related rarity is a 968. And some of the best cars at the EASY gathering are the 914s. All of them have one thing in common. They’re all older Porsches that have become uncommon. That makes them all fun options to me. The Turbo 924 would be an added twist, if you can keep it running!
