Hi, I've recently got this original period (late 60s ?) picture of Porsche werks which I have digitalised and I hope you will find it interesting ... can you help me in precisely dating it?
Have a nice day.

- 1977 Fiona - 911 Carrera 3.0 Oak Green Metallic
- 1993 Bellatrix - 964 Turbo 3.6 Black
I keep a registry of 1972 and 1973 2.4 S coupé chassis. Infos always welcome!!!
the red car at the back is a '68
the two front cars are '69 or later
it doesn't look like the production lines
the machinery on the RHS is not what I would expect to see in the Werk 1 customer repair/service area
doesn't look like the race department either except for the cam covers at the bottom right
1969 - 1970 but where ??
cheers
Dennis
1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.

First 2 cars are '68 with 1 year only side reflectors. It is a Werks photo overalls have the "Porsche" logo on them.

Here is an opinion I have received from a French passionate:
First of all, we can see that there is a mix of 68 and 69 models in this workshop, the red one at the bottom being a 68 and the others a 69.
Then, the yellow, model 69, still sports the side reflectors of the US models of 68, supposed to have been deleted in 69 because integrated directly into the flashing blocks (hence the change of the front flashing blocks and horn grilles between the SWB and LWB).
I deduce that this is certainly a photo of the design workshop for the new models and that we have in front of us the very first LWB still in the design phase (first half of 1968?)
