300025 Rochester, US. Pete Schwamberger. He sold the car in March 2008, after offering it for 80.000 $. It will undergo a very professional restoration by an expert, says Pete.
In 1978 I met a guy who lived in Fulton N.Y. near where I lived. He told me he had just bought an early 911 like the one I was driving. I asked the serial number and he said 300025. In the late 80's I saw an ad on a bulletin board for a 1966 911 for sale with a Fulton phone number. The picture showed a 911 with RS body mods. I didnt put the two together and didnt look at the car, I wanted an S. BIG mistake. Look at all the cars you can.
I believe I sold him a full set of Solex Carbs for this car. I'm pretty sure it was #25.

Yup, Pete is in a suburb of Rochester New York.
The white car was updated by W. Claire in the 1970's in (Rochester) Minnesota. Traveled to NY state with a young man and was bought and held by Pete. This 901 was offered for sale over the years (in hindsight) at a very reasonable amount.
The new owner would like to be kept hush-hush until it is ready to reappear.
(What can be said - it was shipped from the USA).

If it is any indication Eade spend $140K to bring #300 221 back and he started with a very good driver car. That ex-John Dayton car was no slouch in condition or engine or top end speed. Skip Shirley and Wayne Baker, who did the restoration, do exceptional work, as John Straub can attest to. If you saw photos of the finished #300 221 car it was spectacular. It sold well to a new owner with very good taste.
We expect 025 to reappear in similar condition in a couple of years.

Yep, it did cost that much, and to find parts for these really early 911 cars is REAL HARD. Porsche made so many changes in the first 250 cars. Skip said it was much easier to restore a 356, as there are a lot more parts for them than the real early 911 cars. Bob is the man when it comes to help in restoring these early cars!!! Good luck to the owner of #25.
