    Lightweight PMO rain-shield ? Any ?

    Greetings,

on top of my 40IDS, I have replaced the stock air housing/filter by the PMO ones - but they weight a dead man and wonder if anyone planned to make them lighter, using 3D printing for exemple ?
AM no fan of the FBG yellow/amber ones, and having the rest of the tin wear black (do not wish to change the whole lot).

Any lead appreciated, or if none I will make them myself

    Cheers

Maybe these lightweight aluminum covers that Stoddard offered as part of a kit in the mid 70’s could work for you?

I think I have a “spare” set someplace in storage.

"AM no fan of the FBG yellow/amber ones"....wouldn't a little sanding and a "rattle"-can of "Crylon" semi matt black plus an afternoon in your driveway take care of that?...

Thank you all for your feedback - will seek what is in the market and will go either "amber" or carbon fiber.
