    question: size of early two piece script

    @all

    I have some „two piece early Porsche scripts“ in my hand and do wonder about the measures.
    They will not fit the given holes on the engine lid,
    so I do wonder about the dimensions.

    the overall length of the scripts in my hand is
    385 mm

    they do seem too short!!! if I check with cars of a friend!!
    i crosschecked the usual vendors
    https://sierramadrecollection.com/Go...66-p22383.html
    in which the length is given with 387mm.

    Has anyone a measure of a NOS script or can tell me the length of his script.
    Can it be that the originals had been longer than the Repro?
    As these had been casted…are there possible length differences?

    concerning the pins … the inbetween spacing dimensions,
    the pin inbetween space is said to be

    239/240mm from the left for the first pin,
    height 78m

    1-2: approx 15cm
    2-3: approx 7,5 cm
    3-4: approx 11,2 cm

    Any help in this matter is highly appreciated…

    I did receive pics from
    65 and 66 cars….

    the size is 395 mm, which is quite longer than the SM measures!

    Can anyone explain?

    @all,

    today I called several vendors and found out there are two different versions available:
    - carpoint and their affiliates are selling a 395 mm version
    - sierra madre and their affiliates are selling a 387 mm version

    see pics attached.

    which length was used on the original 64/65 version?
    why are two different sizes existant?
