    FS: @eBay - 1969 Porsche 911T Soft Window Targa

Here we have a rare bird indeed. This is a 1969 Porsche 911T factory soft window Targa. Don't be put off by the minty primer, this car was delivered in beautiful Burgundy Red (paint code 6808) with black interior. The car retains its original engine per the attached factory Kardex copy, which also indicates the list of options. While a tremendous amount of metal work was done prior to the minty primer, there is lots of work left to complete. Included in the new sheet metal are new floors, front suspension pan, inner and outer rockers and rear seat pan. All will require some level of finishing work including welding, but much of the heavy lifting has been done. The original engine, serial number 6195351 should be considered an incomplete core and has been bolted into the car for transport purposes. The original Burgundy Red paint can be seen poking through in a few places, please check out the photos for an idea of how sexy this color is. Everything included with the car can be seen in the photos, including the pictured seats (need recovering) and folding targa top. Please study the pictures closely as there are some missing items.

A long wheel base soft window Targa is about as rare as it gets. There is a fascinating thread on the Early 911S Registry Forums about how few of these were made. The soft window on this car appears to have never been off the car, and all of the soft window specific parts are in place including tension handles, pivots, etc. The handles are not frozen and operate. The top material is deterioriating.

If exclusivity is important to your collection, you're guaranteed to stand out with likely the only Burgundy LWB Soft Window Targa at any concours. Once restored, this project will be a show stopper.

This vehicle has a clear title and is ready for export.
